How can I troubleshoot my well-water pump house? My pump is'nt getting enough pressure to shut itsself off.
My water pump to my well is not getting enough pressure to turn it's self off. I have a pre-charged air tank and it has about 36 p.s.i. My pump is set to shut off at about 48 p.s.i, should I put more air in the air tank? Or am I wasting my time with that route? I have no water at my house so any help will be greatly appreciated. How can I troubleshoot my well-water pump house? OR (I hate to suggest) your well may be low, and there just isn't enough water to pump up to pressure at any given time. If you do add air to the tank and it fixes the problem---that's good.
