How do I take the water pump off 2004 impala after Ive removed all the bolts and took the pulley off?

Im trying to take my water pump off but im having problems. Ive took all the bolts off the pulley and the water pump it self. How can I get it off now??How do I take the water pump off 2004 impala after Ive removed all the bolts and took the pulley off?If you've taken all the bolts out and removed the pulley and it won't come off, chances are its stuck on by the gasket. It's no great problem just give it a few taps with a wood / rubber mallet to remove it. If you don't have a mallet to hand you can use a hammer and a piece of wood. Don't strike it directly with a hammer though, it would shatter. Put the wood against it and hit the wood with the hammer.



Once it is off make sure all of the gasket has been removed and the surface is smooth before fitting a new one.
