How many hours do shops charge for to do a water pump replacement on a 98 Grand Prix GTP?

I need to have the water pump replaced on my 98 Grand Prix GTP. I was wondering what the book says about how many hours it will take. I know shops charge by the book, so I was just wondering what Mitchell On Demand or something like it says. Thanks for your help. How many hours do shops charge for to do a water pump replacement on a 98 Grand Prix GTP?1-1.5 hours max... however, some smaller shops go by the actual time and not book time. Also, shop prices can vary. Where I live, lower costs in a small town 50 miles out of the city can be $30-60 per hour.... in the city they can range from $75-110 per hour.

The pump can be bought new or at a salvage yard... given your car's age, I'd go salvage yard if the pump is expensive!
